A warm welcome awaits you at one of the oldest pubs in Beverley, located halfway between the East Riding Theatre and Beverley Minster, just down from Wednesday Market. Steeped in history, this pub was built and developed throughout the Medieval period, with some parts dating back to 1270.
The Grade 2* listed building is situated on one of Beverley’s oldest roads, Highgate (Old Highgate or London Road, as formerly known), which leads down to Minster Yard North, where Beverley Minster, founded back in 700AD, stands in all its glory.
There is something for everyone at the Monks Walk. We serve a constantly changing selection of Yorkshire brewed real ales and ciders, and traditional pub food. We also have a beer garden to the rear with fantastic views of the Minster and we are dog friendly. We do not have a juke box or TV – the only background noise in Monks Walk is the buzz of amiable conversation.
